Simon Hughes
Played for over 13 years with Middlesex and Durham.
Hughes played in over 200 first class matches and took more than 450 wickets.
He retired in 1993 to concentrate on a writing career and since then has worked as a journalist for "The Independent" and "The Daily Telegraph". He also commentates for BBC Radio Test Match Special, has been the Analyst for Channel 4 cricket coverage and is currently part of the Channel 5 evening highlights programme.
Simon has also written several books, including the autobiographical A Lot of Hard Yakka, Yakking Around the World, Jargonbusting and Morning Everyone: An Ashes Odyssey.
